Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I'm proud of every project I work on. It's an honor to be able to work with talented individuals all over the world. I look forward to every project.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Constantly working on either my own music or someone else's.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital because I can't afford analog right now. Plus it's the EAR, not the GEAR.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Satisfaction guaranteed or their money back.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I get to work from home doing what I love to do.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Only questions I typically receive are how long will it take and my average delivery time is around 24-48 hours.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I just really treat the artist's song as if it were my own.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I ask them to be honest with their feedback is all.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: My only advice is to please have your vocal stems recorded professionally and sent properly.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I haven't experienced enough gear firsthand, so I can't be brand specific, but it would definitely be a mic, headphone/speaker, laptop loaded with the latest Pro Tools, a compressor, and a delay pedal.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been writing my own music since 14 years old and have been recording since 2010. I started mixing and mastering professionally in 2016.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Diverse.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Kendrick Lamar because his creativity he brings is so original and meaningful. He's inspiring on many levels.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: It's the ear, not the gear.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Rap/Hip-Hop and Pop.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My own creativity.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I prefer to listen to the song first and get a feel for the entire message/energy the artist is delivering, and then I try to emphasize that through my engineering.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work in my own home studio setup. I have acoustic foam lined walls with an AT4033a Microphone, ATH-M35 Headphones, M-Audio CX8 Monitors, Focusrite Forte Interface, and a Macbook Pro loaded with Logic Pro X.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Inspired heavily by Kendrick Lamar, MixedByAli, Russ, Tory Lanez, and too many more to name.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mix and master their music to their liking, making whatever revisions needed.
