Jaclyn Kenyon is a singer/songwriter from Burlington Ontario Canada and now a transplant in Nashville TN. She has been performing professionally since the age of 12 when she first received National media attention when chosen as the youngest performer ever in Canada’s all female artist showcase “Honey Jam”, competing against artists twice her age. This prestigious showcase is the largest in Canada and sponsored by Warner Chappell Music, it is best known to have launched the career of Nelly Furtado.
n early 2017 Jaclyn made the decision to go back to Nashville where her career and musical roots began forming and started an extensive writing and recording process with Producer Mike Krompass
along with co-writers Robbie Nevil, Steve Diamond, Rich Redmond, Clay Mills. Her sound is a combination of all her experiences and influences which is a new sound of Hybrid Country with a Rock edge.
In June 2019 Jaclyn signed a global distribution deal with Sony’s Orchard, working alongside Soundly Music in Nashville TN . Her first single record release “When We Love” co written with Mike Krompass and Steve Diamond is released June 21, 2019

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Taylor Swift - her writing is pure and she sings what others feel and can't find the words to explain Ed Sheeran - Incredibile vocal melodies , Amazing & simple lyrics that relate to every single person
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a perspective to a song that's genuine , youthful and simply said.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Writing melody , lyrics & vocal performance
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: All genres - my sound is country / rock but I can write and sing in all genres , I don't like being put into a box stylistically,
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Less is more
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I would say my vocal style is innocent, spooky , bold , twangy and rock all in one.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Performing has always been my plan A , Ive never dreamt of doing anything else. I have been doing this for 10 year professionally now.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: - Spire ( if you have not seen this portable recording program its AMAZING) - Computer so I have Ableton - My Interface - MIDI keyboard - Beats Studio Headphones
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That being a musician is easy work and its the easiest job because you just get to sing on stage and write. LOL , Honestly if only someone really knew.

A: That I get to live out my purpose

A: To always remain genuine , truthful & never put out anything if we don't have passion
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I finished my record in Nashville working with some of the worlds best songwriters. I co wrote my album and I am so proud of every single song and experience I had making this record, its my baby.
