Vocalist/Songwriter/Artist

I'm Hester, graduated from the ArtEZ Popacademy Conservatory, specialized in songwriting and (backing)vocals. I'm a member of Americana band Lovers & Lions, which I pour my heart and soul into. Besides writing for my own band I have written for all kinds of genres, from country to K-pop. I love meeting new creative minds to work with!

My voice would best be described as soft and warm, but I am no stranger to belting it out. I am very comfortable singing in both chest and head voice. I can make it bright, breathy, twangy, soft, loud, etc... Whatever you prefer.
I have no problem singing from sheet music.

During my 5-year studies at the ArtEZ Popacademy I have analyzed and written for all kinds of genres: pop, country, folk, Celtic, dance, K-pop, a capella and many more. My own music as HSTR is inspired by Kacey Musgraves and Alison Krauss. Singing harmonies is one of the unique selling points of my band Lovers & Lions, which means I have a lot of experience arranging and singing backing vocals.
