Interview with Logan Freevol

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I am especially proud of my album that is coming soon. It is a very cohesive record, with a story throughout the songs, and it was all recorded in my home studio.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: My own album, my sister's album, a couple singles with friends from around my area, a music video, and much more!

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Not yet.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: A combination. I like playing through analog devices and recording it onto my computer for increased efficiency. Plus, it makes more sense to record into logic rather than onto tape these days.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I promise that you will be happy and if you are not, I am not going to charge you. I sincerely care about the results for each song.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Music is my passion, and I love just being able to do music.

  13. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  14. A: How can I help you achieve your goals with this song/project?

  15. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  16. A: Make sure your musical tastes line up with the person you are hiring. This will help ensure you get the sound you have in your head. (Because it will be the sound that the provider has in his/her head as well.

  17. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  18. A: My Strat, a Neumann microphone, a Mac with Logic running on it, a Focusrite interface, and my Marshal full-stack.

  19. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  20. A: I have been playing guitar for 10 years, and I really want to do this full-time and this is one step on the journey.

  21. Q: How would you describe your style?

  22. A: Alternative rock, influenced by a multitude of genres and sounds.

  23. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  24. A: Switchfoot, because they have been one of my favorite artists since I was first starting guitar! They literally made me want to pick up the guitar in the first place.

  25. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  26. A: Limitations can spark creativity.

  27. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
