Music theory/guitar performance major turned indie producer, began producing music at the age of 15. Worked with Berklee graduates in early career to produce my own music, eventually branching off on my own. Released an EP in 2018 in order to get the full studio experience, now recording and mixing indie bands to cut my teeth. Let's make music!
My name is Mike, working with No More Studios, releasing music through No More Records, and writing/releasing original music by the name No More Melodies.
Services:
I'm currently performing mixing and recording for indie bands, working mostly with local artists and collaborators. Comfortable mixing any genres, but best at indie rock and live-performed genres. Since I'm still cutting my teeth, my rates are very affordable and I will be sure to work directly with you to make sure you're happy with the final mix.
Background:
I started playing guitar in 2004, learning mostly by ear and tabs in order to play progressive metal and progressive rock pieces. Around 2008, I began recording myself and releasing music to my friends and family on an 8-track Tascam recorder. In 2010, I went to Boston to be produced at Ice Station Zebra Studio and fell in love with the process. Since then, I've worked every day to gain experience, gear, and an ear for producing music in order to help myself and others express themselves through my favorite medium.
Specialization:
My biggest influence of all time is Neil Godrich (Radiohead producer/engineer), followed up by Flying Lotus, Greg Kurstin (Geggy Tah, The Bird and the Bee), Bryan Cook (Inara George, Radiohead), and David Cole (Cake).
