Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: - Producing Albums for the Universal Production Music Librares - Working on productions with artists from around the planet - Directing and creating arrangements for Live Shows on some of the biggest Argentinean festivals - Producing music for sync, ads & TV placements

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: We think that a combination of both is the way to go, the unique sound that analog gives you with the pristine and fast workflow of digital.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: What are your influences and biggest inspiration? Do you got released music already and a defined sound that you want us to follow? How is your music or vocal recording set up?

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Don’t be afraid because with us you’re in good hands. We take good care of our customers, and if it is your first time working in music, we advice you to not think about it too much and just do it! Waiting and waiting will only hold you back.

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: Electric generator, a laptop fully loaded with plugins and VST’s, speakers, Nord keyboard and a guitar

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: We both met at the university studying music production and filmscoring back in 2014, and started MELT Music in 2018.

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: We would love to work with Bad Bunny, because even though he’s super mainstream right now, he’s one of the most talented songwriters in the latin urban world and we love how he keeps experimenting and pushing the boundaries to create amazing tracks one after the other.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: Start your session with every track at least -15dB down before even recording any audio or midi, and bring up the master output of your interface to compensate. Like this you’ll have more headroom before the session starts clipping and keep your tracks sounding full HQ.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: - We start working and arranging the song based on a demo or an idea provided by the artist. - The first step would be understanding the direction and style of the song, based on the taste and personality of the artist, and we listen some references and discuss about them. - From there we start the production of the song and search of the sound, tweaking it and making corrections, so step by step we get closer to the artist's vision. - Once we get the full structure and sound of the song we record the vocals, we comp. edit and mix them to match the track. - Then, we'll proceed with the final touches in the production, making sure we're loving every aspect of it. - And lastly, we'll proceed to the mixing and mastering stage, delivering the final high quality WAV file ready to be uploaded to all streaming services.

A: Max Martin, Dr. Dre, Ian Kirkpatrick, Rick Rubin, Tom Misch, Jacob Collier, Frank Dukes, DVLP

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: First we like to get to know our clients and keep a close communication with them, having a group chat and being available for them, discussing any matter regarding our job, with occasional videocalls if needed.
