Endorse Charlie HolmesI have been working with Charlie for just under a year now. He has a superb ability to make an artist feel comfortable, relaxed and - most importantly - can bring out the very best in a track without enforcing his own agenda. He works quickly and with quality, something that is reflected in his portfolio. Simply I can't recommend him highly enough.
Interview with Charlie Holmes
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Currently working with UK artist Martin Luke Brown, I mixed his EP 'Take Out of Me' and Co-wrote & Co-produced his single 'scars on scars'...he's an incredible musician and artist to be able to work with!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Currently working with various UK Major Label artists in either (or all) a writer/producer/mixer role.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital for mixing (with a tiny bit of analog) The ability to recall and go between projects quickly when the workload builds up is a necessity! Plus I can travel to other studios with my exact mix setup, plug in and carry on working fairly easily!

A: UAD 1176 Bluestripe, Focal Twins, Prism Lyra 2, Telefunken 251, Neve 1073 Pre.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been working/learning in the UK music industry for about 5 years now after attending a Music Production course straight after school, and have been working on various Major Label and Independent releases of multiple genres in a production/songwriting/mixer role.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Fairly Laid back...I'd rather let an artist have their say first, then edit as needed...it's their record and it keeps your work as a producer/mixer fresh that way, rather than just doing the same things for every record!
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: The Artist with the best songs...Because that's what it's all about!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Get your Monitoring/Acoustic Treatment as good as possible...everything else is way easier once that's in place!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
