A: Once I am contacted by a client I go through a number of questions to make sure I can actually do the job the client is asking. I then ask for references and/or files needed to start the project. We discuss price and method of payment. I receive the payment and start the work.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Right now I am using studio one to create both my music production and my engineering. I use universal audio plugins as my mixing tools along with other tools to make sure I get the right sound
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am inspired by all music, musicians and productions both new and old, there is something to be said about listening to all kinds of productions because they are sometime blue prints to making great music
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: My duties range depending on the type of project. Whenever I have a music production job I have to help find the tempo, type of sounds the client is looking for and flow once that is established then I would draft up some concepts that the client can choose from that has the right feel then build the arrangement from there. If this is a songwriting gig, a lot of there duties require listening the beat, if one is provided and understanding the concept the client is looking for. Once I understand the vision I go into the studio to draft up a concept and do revisions as needed. If I am the mixing engineer of the project alot of what I do is based on what the client give me to work with and then trying to understand their vision sonically. I tell them what I can and can't accomplish and work from there to build the final mix
