Brooklyn-based session violinist specializing in acoustic, folk, indie/alternative, rock, and cinematic/classical-leaning works, from big productions to intimate DIY shows.
I am a Classically-trained violinist who performs anywhere from the big stages (Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Off-Broadway productions) to the intimate DIY shows. I love connecting and working out an experience that best evokes intention and motives through harmonic/octave layers, depth, and expansion of the root idea.
I perform and arrange based on what I believe is needed for the integrity of the song, rather than what I can bring. Whether different parts of lyricism (if any) requires emotional support, the melody needs another "voice", or the song as a whole could use some ebb and flow, my hope is to build and support the sole message of your project. Therefore I am very flexible in the work process, whether you have absolutely no idea what to do with strings, have some kind of idea jotted down, or wrote an arrangement for me to evoke.
Favorite Genres: Classical, Soundtrack, Indie/Alt rock, Singer-Songwriter, and Folk.
Artists on repeat lately: Daniel Johnston, Phil Ochs, Mitski, Arlo Parks, Adrianne Lenker, boygenius, Sufjan Stevens, Radiohead, Ludovico Einauldi, Max Richter
I look forward to getting to know you and creating together!

Jen is great to work with. I'm very happy with the work she provided & I look forward to future collaboration with her.
Jen is such a wonderful, genuine person and an incredibly talented violinist. We've known each other for years, but she first lent her violin to our music in 2020 and became a crucial part of our upcoming album. Jen is a pleasure to work with and showcases her skill, love of music, kindness, and flexibility without ego. She's played to arrangements, while beautifully adding her own flair, and incorporated original parts and ideas that added so much. The songs that she's on wouldn't be the same without her, and we're so grateful that we've crossed paths. Thanks, Jen! - Steve / CWC
