Interview with Jeroen Egge
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: An EDM record and a blues/americana record
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: This totally depends on the demand of the client and the song. Sometimes digital works better and sometimes analog. I personally prefer digital for a faster workflow, but nothing beats a nice analog chain.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The variety of work and clients.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Fixing it in the mix. The whole chain has to be good, starting with a good song, good recording, god mix and finally a good master.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started off playing guitar in lots of bands in my teenage years and ended up studying audio engineering at SAE. Now I am working for over 5 years as a professional audio engineer/producer.

A: Just listen really good and let the music tell you what to do.
