It was great working with Oumi, a beautiful musician with a beautiful vision AND the technical prowess to fulfill it. Oumi was also easy to communicate with and made his needs known very clearly and kindly. Highly recommend.

Interview with Oumi Kapila

Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
The latest Filter record - Crazy Eyes. It was an honor to work with this great artist that has influenced the direction of alternative rock/industrial music so heavily. My role was co-producer, engineer, programming, synths, guitars and bass.
Can you share one music production tip?
Sounds obvious, but if it sounds good it IS good
What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
I am generally influenced by producers who have more of an arranging background than anyone else. Guys like Neal Avron, Greg Wells. I would also have to say I am influenced by John Feldman, Flood, and also Trent Reznor.
Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
Songwriting/production for a variety of artists and genres, custom briefs for film trailer promotion
