I work at MEI Studio, where I'm on a team of engineers and musicians that specialize in just about every genre. For me, the key to a successful creative partnership is good communication.
As a tracking engineer, it is integral to provide a large enough performance space so that a band can track their parts together if they choose.
As a mixing engineer, it's my job to understand the artist's creative direction so I can understand how they want their tracks to sound and use my technical skills to achieve those sounds.
As a producer, along with offering musical suggestions, I will make sure that everyone involved in the project is comfortable and pleased so they can happily collaborate. I'll take a front seat facilitating communication between all parties in the production stages (when necessary).
As a mastering engineer, I make sure to get multiple reference tracks from the artist. It's important to me that the artist feels the track's integrity and sound quality stays consistent as they play their music back on different systems and alongside their favorite records.
Send me an email through 'Contact' button above and I'll get back to you asap.
