Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: If I were on a desert island, I would take my laptop with a DAW installed, a MIDI keyboard, a high-quality microphone, headphones, and a portable audio interface. These essentials would allow me to continue creating music even in isolation.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: I started my career as a musician, playing the piano and guitar. Over time, I expanded into composing and producing music. My passion for technology led me to explore electronic music production, and I have been actively working in the music industry for the last 2 to 3 decades.

A: My style is a fusion of traditional Brazilian elements with modern electronic sounds. I strive to create music that is both innovative and deeply rooted in cultural heritage.

A: One important music production tip is to always trust your ears. While it's essential to understand the technical aspects of production, the most important tool you have is your ability to listen critically and make adjustments based on what you hear.

A: I usually work on electronic music and Brazilian popular music (MPB), but I am versatile and open to exploring other genres as well.

A: My strongest skill is my ability to combine my technical expertise with my creative instincts. This allows me to produce high-quality music that is both technically sound and artistically compelling.

A: I bring a deep understanding of both electronic music and MPB, blending traditional Brazilian sounds with modern production techniques. My experience as a composer, producer, and musician allows me to add unique elements to a song, whether it's a captivating melody, a rich arrangement, or a polished final mix.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: My typical work process begins with a thorough discussion with the client to understand their vision and goals for the project. This is followed by composing and arranging the music, recording the necessary tracks, and then moving on to mixing and mastering. Throughout the process, I maintain open communication with the client to ensure their feedback is incorporated at every stage.

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: am inspired by a wide range of musicians and producers. Some of my biggest influences include Quincy Jones for his incredible production skills, Tom Jobim for his contributions to MPB, and modern electronic producers like Flume and Deadmau5 for their innovative use of technology.

A: I have two studios: one focused on recording, mixing, and mastering, and another dedicated to production. My recording studio is equipped with high-quality microphones, preamps, and monitors to ensure pristine sound capture and accurate mixing. The production studio features a range of DAWs, synthesizers, and plugins, along with instruments like the piano and guitar, providing a versatile environment for creating music.
