Mark Townsend - Channeland - Producer / Mixer / Programmer - Los Angeles

From my studio in Los Angeles (shared with Israel Houghton), I'm producing / programming / and mixing professionally (since I was 16). I've worked on Billboard #1's, multiple Grammy Award winning projects, gold / platinum records for 30+ years. I have my own label distributed through X5 / Warner Bros. I produce, mix, master, program + more.

I enjoy working on a wide range of projects and rates are quoted per project. My programming and mix rate is $250 per hour and depends on the project as well. Once I have information about your project I can quote a fixed rate that allows for some revisions (within reason). A guide would be $8,000 and up for producing a track (all instruments), and $2,000 (label) or $1,000 (indie) and up for mixing. My mix audio path is Apogee conversion into my SSL console, and back into the DAW with Apogee conversion. My process includes gathering as much insight as I can, with references, goals, and guidelines for tuning, balance, wet vs. dry, and more before we start. I like to upload references via dropbox throughout the process to ensure we are heading in the right direction. I enjoy working with great indie artists as much as I enjoy working with labels (Sony, Universal, EMI, Motown, Integrity, Warner Bros.).
