Hi, my name is Sam Stein and I'm a Brooklyn based musician and producer specializing in songwriting and instrumental arrangements. Recently I've had the pleasure of working with artists including Hojean, Frankie LaCarruba, Lazy Bones and others, as well as working at world class studios including Applehead in Woodstock, NY and Reservoir, NYC.

Since starting Viola lessons, at age 2, I've always been on the lookout to acquire and learn the mechanics of new instruments. The only thing that excites me more is using those instruments' sounds to create a piece of music. I've been writing and recording songs for over ten years now and followed that passion to Ithaca College in 2015, where I achieved a degree in Sound Recording Technology and Viola. At Ithaca I studied with professors including esteemed audio engineer Alex Perialas and violist Kyle Armbrust. Since moving to the city in 2019 I've worked with a variety of artists in my personal Brooklyn studio (Altogether studios), as well as at commercial studios around the city, as a songwriter, string arranger, producer, violist, guitarist and mixing/mastering engineer. I love working with new clients and am open to helping on most any project however I can. Whether it's writing melody's and lyrics for your instrumental, arranging and tracking a string section on your song, vocal editing, comping and tuning, mixing your record to make it hit, mastering a track to get it translating across all platforms, or anything else in my wheelhouse.
