I will transform your lyrics into an atmospheric, heavy or dark song.
If you have only lyrics and a vocal melody recorded on a potato, send it to me. Together we will create an atmospheric and dark song.
Important: I do NOT work with jazz, country, shred metal and rap.
The workflow is simple: you send me your song, I listen to it.
Then I make a vibe-check demo to see if we're on the same page. After that we brainstorm the ideas and I start the assembly of the song and keep you on track with the creative process. Once the song is complete, you will have up to 3 revisions.
As a final result, you will receive a rough mix and the stems that can be sent to a mixing engineer.

Interview with Sergey Leontyev
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Element 14. I was the producer. It’s a project that perfectly captures the gothic rock / darkwave vibe I specialize in.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: The gear is nothing without the ears. I find digital more convenient, but I would love to fiddle with a real Pultec
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will keep you on track with the creative process. You won't just get a final file out of nowhere; we will build the atmosphere together.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That you need a perfectly recorded studio demo to start. A voice memo on a potato is enough to send the idea.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: How do you see this song in terms of style, mood, and vibe?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: At first you can send any quality demo that you have available. In this phase it is only the idea that matters. If we are on the production stage, then get into a studio and records clean vocal tracks without room echo or clipping. The better the input, the more massive the final wall of sound will be.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started playing guitar in 2002 and got into production in 2008. My first production client was a guy who just hummed a melody to me, and I built a massive metal track out of it. I've been refining this dark sound ever since.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Atmospheric, dark, melancholic, and heavy.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't leave vocals on the same energy level throughout the whole track. Build dynamic explosions, use quiet bridges, and add "ear candy" to keep the listener hooked.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Atmospheric, dark, and heavy music. Rock, Alt-Rock, Heavy Pop.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I can hear a humming on a voice memo and architect a full, heavy arrangement around it.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Atmosphere, tension, and a dark "wall of sound". I transform flat, single-energy demos into dynamic tracks with explosions and ear candy.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I listen to your draft and make a "vibe-check" demo to ensure we're on the same page. Then I start the full track assembly, sending you Work-in-Progress (WIP) updates. Once the song is fully built, we do up to 3 rounds of final revisions.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Lana Del Rey, HIM, Alcest, Devin Townsend, Anthony Gonzalez (M83).
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Taking a raw acoustic idea or a vocal melody recorded on a phone and turning it into a massive, fully produced dark or heavy song. (Track from scratch).
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I got a Cubase 9 Pro, with Yamaha HS8 studio monitors.
