I have released my productions on some of the biggest dance music labels (Revealed Recordings, Smash The House, Intensity Recordings etc.) I have also worked with some well known artist in the industry, for example, Manse, Futuristic Polar Bears, Nevve and Havoq to name a few.

My name is Daniel and I'm a music producer from Finland. I have been producing music for over 10 years and I've been pursuing my career under the name " DANÊL " for a few years now. I started learning producing by watching a lot of YouTube tutorials and I just played around with the DAW which at that time for me was Fl Studio. However, later on, I switched to Ableton and I have been using it to this day.

I have gained a lot of experience in producing from working together with other musicians. Even though my primary focus has always been Dance music I have worked on different genres such as pop and rap. I really think musicians can improve their skillset best by going outside of the comfortzone by exploring different styles. Better yet, if you can work together with someone who is spesialized in some other genre than you, it's definitely one of the best ways to learn new skills

I have been using SoundBetter lately to hire singers for my songs and I've been enjoying it really much and since I love producing music I thought, why don't I just make a profile for myself too.

Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. I love the sound of analog but for me digital is so easy to use and it is also a lot cheaper.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will do every job to the best of my ability and beyond that. I always push myself to work better and harder.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Just send me a message and let's discuss what you are looking for! :)
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Macbook, apollo interface, headphones, electric guitar. I only need 4 ;)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been doing this for almost 10 years now. I started my Musial journey by playing the drums in a band as a kid. Then I started playing guitar for a bit and later on I fell in love with producing,
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: At the moment, melodic, uplifting and maybe energetic :)
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Definitely Martin Garrix because he is my favorite artist. Also I always love to work with talented singers!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Less is more. That is the best tip for mixing and I had to learn it the hard way.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Dance music! (EDM)
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I'd say my creative thinking. Also, I'm pretty fast worker :D
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I can take your idea and make it to a full song.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I always start a song by opening up a piano vst (usually Kontakt) and creating a melody. A melody is the soul of the song and it needs to be perfect before anything else happens, in my opinion. Sometimes I also like to jam with a guitar to figure out some chords to start the song. Next I start finding some sounds and I start building the track around the melody. In dance music productions I usually start by creating the drop (after the melody is done) because it is the most important part of that genre.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I use Ableton as my DAW. My audio interface of choice is Apollo Twin X and I have been loving it ever since I got it, worth every penny! For mixing I mostly use my mixing headphones Beyerdynamic DT 990 pro's but I also have a studio setup with two sets of speakers (Yamaha and KRK). I own two acoustic guitars and one electric guitar.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: My all time favorite has always been Martin Garrix. Lately I've been getting a lot of inspiration from Axwell & Ingrosso.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: My specialities are music productions, mixing and songwriting!
