PS379

Songwriter/Producer/Mix&Master

PS379 on SoundBetter

I'm the owner and operator of PS379, a boutique studio in Brooklyn, NY, where I provide songwriting, production, and mixing/mastering services for a wide variety of artists and clients. (I also do video production & editing)

PS379 is owned and operated by Jeremiah Glazer, a veritable audio and video renaissance man, with professional credits as a musician/producer/engineer in the music world, as well as a producer/director/editor in the video world. His music has been featured on MTV and numerous commercials for Etsy, Tumblr, and Edie Parker. He also has over 11 years of experience in the video world and has worked on numerous full-length documentaries, commercials, and branded content videos. Originally a documentary film editor and producer, in 2016 he combined his passion for the visual and audio arts and started PS 379 bringing his unique style, perspective, and spirit to the worlds of art, media, advertising, and all things internet.

Interview with PS379

  1. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  2. A: It's usually pop-oriented, r&b, and hip hop, sometimes Caribbean vibes (soca, dancehall). And occasionally I break out my punk-influenced childhood.

  3. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  4. A: That I have many skills ;)

  5. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  6. A: Openness, patience, willingness to fail in order to succeed.

  7. Q: What's your typical work process?

  8. A: It depends on the project!

  9. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  10. A: The studio is one room in Crown Heights, Brooklyn (sorry! no bands or drums). I'm almost a completely in-the-box studio. It's a warm, intimate, and creatively safe space where I really encourage people to express themselves and let loose creatively and energetically. Gearlist: Logic Pro X, Pro Tools, Ableton, Universal Audio Apollo Twin & Octo, Rode NTK, Shure SMB7, Shure SM58, Shure SM57, Komplete Kontrol S61 MK2, Korg microKORG, Martin DC-15E, Gibson SG Standard, Adam A7X Monitors, Avantone Monitors, Technics 1210 MK2.

  11. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  12. A: A ton. Quincy Jones, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Nigel Godrich, Jimi Hendrix, George Harrison, Fleetwood Mac, Disclosure, Janet Jackson, Neil Young, James Blake, 2Pac, A Tribe Called Quest, Leonard Cohen, Solange, The Internet, Frank Ocean, YES...I mean, do I have to keep going??

  13. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  14. A: I do A LOT of different work but basically I'm a one-stop shop for your song. As someone who writes, produces, mixes, and masters I can basically take a song from idea to reality. So sometimes I'm helping an artist and/or songwriter by having them come in and finesse their song by offering arrangement, chord, or even lyric suggestions. We may go on to record those vocals together so I'll engineer and vocal produce for them. They may want me to also produce the track and/or record them playing their instrument so we'll talk about vibe and sound selection. And finally we might go into mixing and/or mastering. Or I have clients come to me with the song written and they just need a mix and/or master.
