Josh is an LA-based songwriter, composer and producer, as well as the founder
and CEO of Sing Engine Records (est. 2010), and the driving force behind the
indie band, Freak Owls. He’s also the other half of the writing/production duo,
Will Phåråoh, along with longtime Freak Owls contributor, Kolby Wade, and his newest project, Woves, will be releasing their debut early 2020 on 1650 Records.
He has played hundreds of gigs as a solo artist and for other artists, & earned a degree in Songwriting & Composition from the McNally Smith College of Music in Minneapolis in 2001.
After a cross-country move with his wife and dog to LA via Brooklyn in 2013,
Josh started producing and releasing more artists through Sing Engine as well as
writing custom music for TV/Film and other artists and record labels. He has
been nominated for such songwriting awards as The John Lennon, SongCircle,
and 100% Music Songwriting Competitions. Writing and
producing mainly in the Indie/Alt-Pop/Electronic/R&B genres, Josh thrives working
outside of his comfort zone and has taken on projects from all genres.
