* Bio:

Peter Weis is a New York-based composer and music producer. Peter’s background in music began at an early age when he discovered the trumpet. During his formative years, he studied with some of New York City’s Jazz Icons while at the same time honing his skills in various jazz and classical ensembles. It was also around this time that Peter began to soak up the infectious grooves of hip-hop and muse about the commercial influence of pop music.
As an undergraduate student at Hofstra University, Peter studied composition and arranging; an experience that allowed him to combine his performance background with the exploding hip-hop and music production scene.

Peter’s edgy, urban productions have attracted some of the industry’s top music licensing agencies and music supervisors which has led to work in over 400 television series and more than 3000 episodes. He landed his first television placement for MTV in 2001 and within just a few years was composing regularly for the likes of Oprah Winfrey and Dr. Oz. Peter’s music placements include Saturday Night Live, The Late, Late Show with James Corden, and Love and Hip Hop.
