Ash Gale is a singer/songwriter, a qualified and trained audio engineer who can produce and mix tracks to a high professional level. Ash has produced and mixed songs his own solo work that have appeared on national radio, Netflix and MTV television shows, commercials and indie films.

Ash Gale is a singer/songwriter producer and mix engineer. Having played in bands (The Sundance Kids) that have toured with The Fray, The All American Rejects, Evermore and The Veronicas, Ash has lived and breathed music for over 20 years. Completing a degree in audio engineering Ash now has set up a studio in the luscious Adelaide hills of Stirling where he can offer pre-production, fully produced tracks and or mixing tracks.

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: My latest single 'Treading Water' was written, recorded, produced, edited and completely mixed all by me.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Currently writing and recording songs for Syncs (Netflix and commercial television)

  12. A: Being creative and making people happy with what they want to achieve musically.

  16. A: I can't make you famous or make you sing like beyonce Meet me half way with talent and a good song and we will be a great team!

  20. A: Look for someone who is friendly and has great musical taste. Also who can share your vision and bring out the absolute best in your songwriting and production/mixes

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I've been writing/producing music for 20 years. Recently studying audio engineering to advance my technical skills. Now combining musical knowledge, creativity and music technology to bring songs to life.

  26. A: Make it bold, interesting and evoke emotion

  28. A: Ryan Tedder. Amazing songwriter and incredible producer

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: I love subtle harmonic distortion. All those 1%ers add up to give the song it's own personalty.

  32. A: A wide range from Pop - Rock to singer/songwriter folk

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: I love being a songwriter and arranger when mixing a song. Finding those strong hooks and melodies that can take songs to another level.

  36. A: I love to find moments in songs and making them the absolute feature. Songs need to take the listener on an interesting journey. I use mixing techniques to enhance the songs dynamics and bring out more emotion and colour.

  38. A: Finding moments in songs and making them the absolute feature. Songs need to take the listener on an interesting journey. First lets make sure it was recorded and edited at it's absolute best then lets bring the song into shape with balance/depth and effects.

  42. A: Big fan of producer Ryan Tedder and Mix engineers Michael Brauer, Andrew Scheps & Greg Wells. Bands I love - U2, Radio Head, Jeff Buckley, Oasis, Coldplay, Queen, The Verve, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin

  44. A: Engineer/Produce and Mix. Also can offer session vocal tracking.

Terms Of Service

Mixing $400 per track with 3 revisions. $50 for grouped stem bounce.
Skye Recording Studios $60ph including producer/engineer - or $500 per day
Editing/tuning/comping $50ph
