My main genres are pop, folk, and singer/songwriter - with experience with other genres too. I was on NBC's The Voice and recently played bass and guitar in an Off-Broadway musical
My goal and passion in life is to make music that is meaningful to the people who hear it. I've been playing music and writing songs for myself since I was a teenager, and am a graduate of Berklee College of Music. My influences range across multiple genre and time periods, but some artists and writers that especially stand out to me are Paul Simon, Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie), and Ed Sheeran.
As a songwriter, I have experience in writing for all kinds of projects - from writing for touring country and pop artists (Charles Esten of ABC's Nashville, Sean Grandillo, Anthony Ortiz), to helping people with no songwriting experience express themselves through music. I'm also a performing singer/songwriter and have won awards including the American Songwriter Lyric Writing Contest and the Bernard/Ebb Songwriting Competition.
As a vocalist, I have lots of experiencing both performing and singing on sessions and demos. I was invited to be on season 10 of NBC's The Voice, where I reached the top 12 on Adam Levine's team.
As an instrumentalist, I've played with artists and bands spanning multiple genres - from pop band Running Lights, to singer/songwriter Liz Longley, to country/americana icon Emmylou Harris. Most recently, I played bass and guitar in the Off-Broadway musical Only Human, which starred Gary Busey.
