My name is Charlie. I'm a graduate of The Recording Institute of Detroit. I believe I can help take your project to the next level and I will do everything I can to make it the best it can possibly be.

Why you should hire me:

- I have had over 50 placements on major networks of songs I've written, recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered.

- I went to school for audio engineering for two years, and apart from that I've spent alot of time in professional recording studios both in the Detroit and Nashville area.

- I do love and can do all the genre's I have listed on my profile here, however rock is the genre I have the most experience in. Big rock guitars, powerful drums and a big melodic chorus!

- I have an open mind, I'm always learning, and I'm always willing to listen.

Please check out my catalog on the bottom right of the page. I did all the production/mixing/mastering on every track listed.

For a sample of my of my singing, I am on the first verse and chorus of the Country Roads cover in my catalog to the right.

Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my page and I hope to be talking with you soon.

I worked on two complication efforts with Charlie and I was blown away. His professionalism, talent and outstanding attitude make him someone I want to work with more. We are already discussing future projects and ideas. In this market it's rare to find someone you can trust to share genuine ideas. An easy five star.

Chuck is the man. He took my janky Ska project's sound and made it well rounded. I've known him for years, he is an honest individual with a very creative mind for music.

Charlie is a class act. I'm very impressed with his recording skills and professionalism. He creates a comfortable organized environment combined with an awesome sense of humor. All of these qualities help create a great album with ease. He actually cares that your record will sound the way you want it without feeling rushed, unlike most studios.

Interview with Charlie Jewell

What do you like most about your job?
I love meeting creative people like myself, and I love making music. It inspires me to be great in all aspects of my life.
What questions do you ask prospective clients?
I want to know about the goals they have with their music. I have plenty of knowledge about the music industry that I am willing to share with my clients to help them meet their goals.
Can you share one music production tip?
The best piece of advice that I've come across is something very very simple. Mix with feeling. Songs are about emotion, and my ultimate goal is capturing that emotion and making sure the listener feels something. Even it involves me doing something in the mixing stage is "technically incorrect."
What type of music do you usually work on?
I usually work on Rock Music. However currently I have 3 hip hop artists all working on albums here locally in Detroit. I'm very excited about all three of them.
What's your strongest skill?
My strongest skill is songwriting/production. Those two things go hand and hand most times (in my humble opinion) and I just feel I have an outstanding ear for where a song should go and knowing how to get it there.
