Gianluca Magalotti, after graduating Summa Cum Laude in Jazz Performance from Conservatory of Music Santa Cecilia (Rome, Italy) was awarded from Berklee College of Music to attend the prestigious school with three scholarships in total that acknowledged his skills as both an outstanding bass player (Berklee World Tour Scholarship 2015), composer/arranger/songwriter (Berklee Writing & Composition Scholarship 2015), and singer (Timothy B. Schmit Scholarship 2017). Gianluca eventually graduated Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music, after being on the Dean’s List since his second semester at the college. His professional experience extends further back in time, when he was touring with Italian major artists Thomas Grazioso, Martha Rossi, Cassandra De Rosa and Amato Scarpellino, as part of a national tour hosted by Radio Dimensione Suono, which is the most popular radio station in Italy. During his time at Berklee, Gianluca was also hired as a selected accompanist work-study for the Voice, Guitar, Piano, Brass, Strings, Songwriting and Project Band Departments, and he earned two consecutive Project Band Awards in the Fall 2017 and Spring 2018, distinguishing himself as one of the few and very best sight-reading musicians of the school. Gianluca Magalotti is available for both remote & in-studio recordings, and music engineering & production works.
