  1. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  2. A: Pop, Rock, Country, Neo-soul, R&B, EDM, Industrial, Reggae, Folk, Americana, Jazz, Latin.

  3. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  4. A: I'm particularly proud for engineering and vocal tuning the young talent of Aiden Adams on a remote basis.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Analog, because it sounds real, fuller, and groove-efficient due to its zero-latency nature.

  9. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  12. A: I'm currently recording remotely and in-studio (Nashville, TN) for several emerging artists from all over the world.

  13. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  14. A: Not a real job. Just having fun. Easy. Doesn't involve countless hours onto preparation and skills development.

  15. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  16. A: Feel free to reach out to me for any questions! If I think I can't give you what you need I'll redirect you elsewhere. My interest is to give value to your music, not to sell you a defective product or rip you off of your money.

  18. A: Bass, laptop, audio interface, headphones, pedalboard.

  19. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  20. A: Gianluca Magalotti graduated Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music in 2018. Recipient of multiple scholarships and academic awards, and currently a full-time professional recording and touring bass player. With 20 years of music studies, Gianluca has been recording and performing along with international artists in USA, Europe and Asia. Today, Gianluca Magalotti's main purpose in music is to serve artists all around the globe, helping them contribute to a better world by giving them exactly what they need through his professional experience and deep artistic insights.

  21. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  22. A: A musical product is considered done not when it sounds good, but when you're left with no additional tweaks to apply that would make it sound good.

  23. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  24. A: The ability to deeply grasp the vision and the emotional message of a song and serve it through my playing skill set.

  26. A: I bring dynamism to a song, through my 20 years experience and my creative originality.

  28. A: SOFTWARE & GEAR Pro Tools, Logic Pro, RME Babyface Pro, Neve RNDI, Ampeg-modeled class-A preamps, modular analog synth pedals.

  29. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  30. A: Pino Palladino, James Jamerson, Nathan East, Flea, Chris Squire and Family Man are my main inspirational models on bass.

  31. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  32. A: As a full-time recording bass player, I'm completely dedicated onto serving artists from all over the world, by recording remotely thru world-class gear and always providing my clients with the most satisfying bass tracks they can ever get for their songs.

  33. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  34. A: Through unlimited revisions, I'll make sure you receive the best product you can ever ask for, cause my clients' satisfaction always comes first.

  35. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  36. A: I"ll ask my clients some technical questions first, such as info about sample rate, bit depth and BPM of the song I need to work. Then, I"ll also ask questions about any artistic and performing details that I'm expected to follow. Finally, I"ll ask questions about the vision and the emotional message of the designated song, in order for me and the artist to be on the same page.

  37. Q: How would you describe your style?

  38. A: My style is adaptive and supportive to the song. My job is to serve the music, not to steal the show.

  39. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  40. A: I love to work with all those artists who understand and respect the complexity of my job and give the right value to it.

  41. Q: What's your typical work process?

  42. A: You'll simply need to send me your song, possibly in the .wav audio file format. I will also need to know any particular artistic and performing details you expect me to take into consideration, such as specific performing styles or references to any existing bass lines.

  44. A: My favorite part of working with music is that I believe music has an incredibly healing power in this world, and I intend to be part of it and contribute to a better world.
