Daniel Rodrigues Studios on SoundBetter

I'm Daniel, a 28 year old Music Producer from Portugal. Have been mixing and producing professionally for 10 years. Studied audio engineering at SAE London and won a student version of the Grammys for "Best Recording/Mix" out of 600 entries in their 40 campus world wide competition. After my studies came back to Portugal and opened my own studio

I work from my own private studio, offering mixing, music production/writing and beat making services. As many revisions as needed to get your vision and message across your songs!

Interview with Daniel Rodrigues Studios

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: A rock project that i recorded and mixed for my brother's band. A final mix of that got me a grammy related award, from all the 40 something SAE Audio Engineering campuses around the world, there were 600 entries to the Best Recording/Mix and i won. Had a great week in L.A. Also produced the track with the band, even though i didn't submit in that category.

  3. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  4. A: It's an ITB set up, Pro Tools HD as main DAW (beat making is done in Ableton) with plugins from most of the biggest brands including UAD. ADAM A8X speakers as mains, Alesis m1 for nearfields. Command 8 control surface and Beyerdynamic DT 880 Pro Headphones.

  5. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  6. A: Is there a rough mix for reference? Are there any mix references from other artists?

  7. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  18. A: But will it mix? Yes it will, nicely.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

In terms of revisions i don't really count them, i like the process to be interactive, not just "here you go, a mix". This way we work towards achieving the sound you want from the get go.
