Adrian Bean on SoundBetter

My primary tools are the violin and mandolin. I am still fairly new to session work, but if hired I can bring you a blend of pop rock and country with a classical twist!

I provide talent either on stage or in the studio with drums, violin, bass guitar, guitar or mandolin in the New England area. I do not record from home and send music back out to clients, but I can travel to studios in a reasonable distance.

I have 23 years of experience with music. My training started classically with the violin and the Suzuki Method at age four. From there I studied with three private teachers, and had the honor of studying with the Portland String Quartet’s second violinist Ronald Lantz. Also, my senior year of high school I held the position of concertmaster of the Portland Youth Symphony Orchestra. That orchestra is held at the University of Southern Maine Gorham campus. Since 2013, I have taught myself the basics of fiddling and improvisation with the help of classical theory and play the styles of pop, rock and country music presently.

With the mandolin, I have taken my training on the violin and put it towards that instrument. Other than that, I am a self taught musician.

I have shared the stage with Nashville based Kalie Shorr, pop singer/songwriter Alex Roy of Sparks The Rescue(I am in his current band) and The Ghost of Paul Revere.
