Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: Pop, EDM, Pop/Urban

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

A: "Go" with Maduk was definitely a gem. It's at 2 million on spotify, and it all started here.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: I constantly work on several top-line, vocal and transcription projects at a time.

Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

A: There are many amazing producers, musicians and engineers on soundbetter, some of which I've used on my own projects!

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: Though analog is the backbone to all music, commercial radio has seemed to accept and prefer digital.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: Quality.

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A: Can you make my song sound like _______? Yes, I can mimic a specific song or artist while still giving the tune its own unique feel.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: That it does not take a very nuanced skill, training, exercise, discipline and practice to have the ear to be a seasoned vocalist.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: If a client is providing a track, it is helpful to know the BPM and Key. If a client is looking for vocals, it is helpful to know the mood and attitude they want. If a client is looking for lyrics, it is sometimes helpful to know what direction the client would like to go, or if they have a reference track to which they'd like their song to be similar.

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: It is always helpful to a provider when a seller knows (to the best of their ability) what they want. Specificity is key because it helps us have confidence that we will deliver to you what you want while we're working on your project. Confidence that you'll be satisfied is super helpful for us while we're working.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: 1. Providing Female Vocals 2. Top-Line songwriting and melody writing with (or without) provided vocals (pop, EDM, dance, soul, some gospel) 3. Session singing (lead vocals, backing vocals, ad libs), and Demo singing

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: I bring energy. Energy, energy, energy! Even if a song requires a soft laid back quietude, a sense of potential energy is still required! I also bring creativity and relevance.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: I converse with the client to gauge exactly what he or she wants before importing all stems into pro tools. I provide the client with clean/raw stems (including doubles, harmonies, ad libs and/or extra instruments).

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: I am heavily inspired by that sweet spot called The Nineties! I do; however, listen to and appreciate modern Top-40 / Urban / EDM / Dance music to keep my ears fresh!

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: Singing/songwriting and harmonizing.

A: Pro Tools 10 Mbox-Mini Mackie MIc/Line Mixer AT2020 Pop-Filter, Mud Guard Korg 32 Finale

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: If powering and wiring the gear is not a problem, I'd take mac, mbox, korg, AT2020 and headphones.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: Music has always been in the cards since I studied at NYU's Steinhardt Music program. My niche grew to be composition, thus my skills in songwriting, composing and notational transcription.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: Energetic and harmonious.

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: I love Sia's music. She's an amazing and consistent songwriter with a great ear and wide range!

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: This one should go without say, but doubling and panning harmonies, then letting them sit back in the pocket of the mix, makes for incredible aural color that the listener won't even realize they're enjoying!

A: I love the opportunity to work with other talented musical professionals to create and churn out amazing music!
