My name is Jaryd Velez but I am known musically as Kala Btz. Growing up on hardcore punk/metal, hip hop, & electronic I have been an audiophile since out the womb. I specialize in Audio Engineering/Music production with a degree from The Institute of Audio Research. With that being said I am also a musician(piano & guitar),vocalist, & DJ having performed at Bonaroo Fest, South by South West and countless clubs,venues & radio shows from New York City, Montreal, Los Angeles & London to name a few. Some of my collaborations are with Redbull Music Academy, Boom BK Fest, & the legendary Quad Studios. Very open minded to all sounds from pop to metal & even film scores as well. I offer services in mixing , mastering, recording, production, film scores, sound design, beats, and much more.

I wanted to go with a different direction for my solo record (which is more electronic in nature) and immediately thought of Kala Btz, as I was familiar with his own recorded music (which can be dance-floor friendly as well as have cinematic vibes), and he did an amazing job! He gave each track a unique feel. I then shopped the demo and got signed to a great label from the UK, simply based on the mixes. Would highly recommend him!
