Wicked Squid Studios is a high level audio engineering collective based out of Rochester, NY with over 50 years of collective experience in the audio production industry.

Our staff's credits include Biggy, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Acid Mother's Temple, Lee Ronaldo (Sonic Youth), Good Morning America, The View, TEDx and Gathering of the Vibes. Members of our team have received Grammys and been Emmy nominated. At the Squid we are all about community! The Squid provides an esteemed internship program to enrich the knowledge of our community. We also work with the Rochester Public Library to help run ImagineYOU, and provide audio education and experience to kids in our city who wouldn’t get this opportunity otherwise. Our team is composed of members whose diverse expertise and voracious appetite for quality will bring your project to the next level! Every project is different and we will connect you with the right engineer to collaborate and carry out your vision!

We offer mixing, mastering, quantization, vocal comping/tuning, session work and beat production.

We are currently utilizing a Neve 5088 and run Logic Pro X. Our in studio equipment includes gear from API, Universal Audio, Fender, Mesa Boogie, MusicMan, Nord, Moog and Dave Smith.

They talked up their gear a lot and was disappointed to see the actual setup. No Neve. Room sounded pretty bad. Unprofessional staff. Sound I was getting was worse than what I can get in my living room.
