Highly-skilled and overly passionate producer, engineer, and guitarist from Nashville,TN. R&B, Hip Hop, and Pop are my true loves. My broad musical knowledge is sure to bring the best out of you and your next project. High quality productions, crisp, clean mixes, and quick turnarounds; you tell me what you want, and I will exceed your expectations.
WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU?
Most of today's popular music is based heavily on commerciality, but lacks heartfelt musicianship. Well, why not have both? With 13 years of experience playing the drums, 8 years of guitar, and 4 years of piano, my knowledge of the musical process will take your bare-bones ideas to fully-fleshed masterpieces. It is absolutely necessary to create a commercial sound with a unique signature to separate yourself from the hoards of music today.

incredible guitar player, really add flavors to the track. extremely dedicated and talented. thank you.
Syde-Fx is an absolutely talented producer, his ability to create organic and live sounding productions is why i plan to continue working with him with longevity. His sound not only separates him from other producers but also sets you apart from other artists. Ive had the pleasure of working with Syde-Fx personally side by side in studio, and he pushed me to create the best record possible. He is not your average "beatmaker" but instead shows what it really means to be a producer and helps orchestrate and write timeless music.
Interview with Syde-FX
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Currently I'm working on sample packs with my friends at the Rucker Collective. We mostly focus on Pop R&B, but sometimes with a touch of jazzy soul. I'm also building up my inner group of artists to closely work with. (taking new spots now)
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What vibe are you looking for? Do you have any reference tracks for the type of feel or a specific sound you are looking for? Who are your biggest influences?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Be specific, honest, and know that I will do everything in my power to make you a happy, recurring client. The more specific and honest you are up front, the further I will be able to take your idea in a shorter amount of time.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Cohesive, Professional, Soulful, Melodic, Heavy Groove. Feeling is my main focus when producing; always get the feeling right first.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Daniel Caesar because I truly enjoy his love for good musicianship without sacrificing commerciality. He has, what I believe to be, one of the best balances of commerciality and authenticity. He always find a way to stick out while still staying in the bounds of mainstream musical culture.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Clock in, every day. It doesn't matter if the day is "unsuccessful" to you. Each day is one step closer to what you've been working for. Find practical ways that you can improve each day by giving yourself tasks and goals to check off for the day.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: The Rucker Collective recently released a sample pack with Polyphonic Music Library called "Sounds For Change." All of the proceeds went to organizations supporting black communities/empowerment and police reform. Over $6500 was raised in just 3 days. Some of my guitar samples were included in this pack alongside producer powerhouses like Mario Luciano, Jake One, Beat Butcha, Motif Alumni, CameOne, Kelvin Wooten and more.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most of my clients come to me for R&B guitar loops/accompaniments or full production from beginning to end. I have recently been working with the Rucker Collective releasing Guitar driven sample packs for producers and songwriters. We recently released a sample pack with producers Jake One, Mario Luciano, Motif Alumni (Rucker Collective), and more. These producers' works collectively have been used by artists such as Drake, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Eminem, Travis Scott, Future, etc.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Typically, I stay within R&B, Hip Hop, and Pop, but all with my own touch of soul. I am eager to branch out and try new ideas.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I believe my strongest skill is my ability to hear melodies/harmonies and translate them from my head to the song. I like to incorporate the right feel for each idea, along with a melody that flirts with the listener in the correct way. The melody and feel need to make sense in relation to each other and to the chords, and I feel that my relationship with the instruments that I know well offers me a great sense of cohesion and well-crafted musicianship.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Legendary Guitarist, Mateus Asato, inspires me to incorporate new techniques into my playing.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: It depends on the request! You want it to sound like the 80s? Analog all day. Not a fan of lo-fi recordings? I'll get you a clean, crisp mix right on time.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise is to make you become a better artist. I want to highlight your best qualities and help you raise your own standards about what you can accomplish. I will put the pressure on you to be your very best, and we will come out stronger and more proud on the other side.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I like that I have the opportunity to create something from scratch that can be put out into the world to influence others in an artistic way. Music is about communication and where I lack in verbal/nonverbal, I make up for in music.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: With all of the "beat makers" on YouTube, Instagram, etc. it can be difficult to separate that image with someone more professional. By making each moment exciting and new for the listener, the professionals separate themselves from the crowd. That's what I want to do for any artist that comes my way.
