Hi! I'm an award winning songwriter who's main focus is lyrics but I love coming up with simple catchy melodies. I rap and sing and perform under the name JDP. Outside of my music I write for pop & urban artists, as well as custom songs for television and advertisement. I love helping people find a musical way to tell their stories!

As a songwriter, JDP has worked with various artists and
producers across genre’s to help craft songs for their
projects. He’s worked with companies such as Netflix &
Awesomeness TV on custom music for their programming.

- Wrote 10 custom songs for Jib Jab’s animated
youtube series, Ask The Storybots. The songs and
accompanying videos have accrued over 2 millions views
and was developed into a Netflix series based around the
songs. The series went on to win a daytime Emmy.
- Co-wrote the lead single for
Interscope/KIDinaKORNER alternative artist, Vesperteen.
His first release on a major label
- Co-wrote the title song & closing song for season 3
of the AwesomnesssTV/Hulu’s series, Guidance. Along
with the title and closing song, custom songs written by JDP were used throughout the
series and the show is currently streaming on Hulu.
- Co-wrote the newest single for Chicago based indie-pop artist, OSTON, which was
produced by Artpop (Lady Gaga) producer Dino Zsisis
- Wrote a custom song for Coke Zero’s digital ad campaign “Make It Possible”
- Co-wrote a song for “My Little Pony The Movie”, “I’ll be around.” The song was performed by
Warner/Chappel artist Palmer Reed and was included on the soundtrack
