Writes songs like you've never heard before. Combining art and science to create music
Hi there! My name is Ido, I'm a songwriter and I'm here to assist you in writing your song.
I know how to write complex yet simple-to-understand-by-audience melodies. I have developed music writing skills after studying the work of broadway's and Disney's top writers (Bobby and Kristen Anderson Lopez, Justin Paul, and Benj Pasek).
I'm listing songs/ music pieces that I wrote recently. If you like my work, hit the contact button and we'll get to work.
My workflow is VERY simple:
1. You describe the song to me (If you have lyrics already send them to me) and I start writing it.
2. I'll send you a demo of the melody using a synth (on top of a guitar or piano) - with few melodies/harmonies options
3. I can add/change anything you would like, as you are eligible for one free revision
4. I'll send you a demo of ME singing, that way you'll know how to performe the song - then you can send it to the singer and complete the recordings without revisions (You will need this if you are working with an outsourced singer)
And that's it!
Let's make some music

Interview with IDO
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Christmas like, Broadway-ish style.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I use a Piano roll in a daw to write, that's it. I use Native instrument's Komplete 12 Ultimate Edition - I specialize in the Sessions Guitarist, Symphony series and all of their piano engines.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I love classical (Sub-genre; Romantic) musicians like Frederic Chopin. Since his Ballad no. 1 in G minor, I'm obsessed with his work. They inspire my work (Harmony wise) in every aspect of my doing.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I write mainstream melodies using the core harmonies in Major/Minor scales
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I wrote 12 songs for my musical, you can listen for 2 of them on YouTube. If you want to hear it, use this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbEYEeGk9JA
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I just finished producing my very first single (search "NYC to Tel Aviv" on the streaming platforms) and looking forward to finishing my next work - a full-length musical.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Yes of course! "EDM-gouhst-productions" is a great music producer here on SoundBetter. A real pro.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. We need to embrace technology, this is our future. Nevertheless - It is important to know the craft of analog music-making. This is our foundations
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I ain't stop working until you are absolutely IN LOVE with your song.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love that my music make sense technically and mathematically - that is the basics and that is just too good.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Well, that would be that if I don't use a massive studio I don't know how to write massive pieces...
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Describe the song as much as you can, I want you to speak. And if you find writing challenging, record yourself and send it to me as an audio file. I promise to listen to Everything.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: EVERYTHING THAT NATIVE INSTRUMENTS MAKE THANK YOU.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been studying music since 4th grade, learned the Sax and Piano. Now I write music a lot.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Armin Van Buuren without a doubt. The man is a total winner.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Allways add either the relative minor when creating harmony or (If you have guts) throw in a 4th minor.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop and mainstream music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I'm original and creative. That is where my professionality is coming from.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a "Disney" feel to the song, that is definitely my niche.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I start off with a chord progression. Usually, a 3/4 chord sequence and from there I add twists and turns. all using the ground chords of the scale. Then I make the melody. I give several options to each riff and choose from the best sounding one. I divide the song into Verses, Choruses/Drops, and "C" parts and put everything together. I send the demo to the client for approved.
