Sebastian Morosan on SoundBetter

I am a vocal bass singer in a gospel quartet named Christall Sound (Quartet), based in Bucharest, Romania and for the past five years i've been singing in Romania and in cityes like Madrid, Bruxelles, Rome, London, Hamburg, Paris in Europe. In time I developed mixing skils in live concerts but also in studio recordings and I love to do that for you!

I grew up with music, singing vocal and instrumental in my church, at school, highschool and for the past years I had the chance to sing in a whole different level and I can say that I achieved a lot of experience and I know exactly what an artist feels and I'm very familiar with that desire of getting the most from your voice or your music.
I am very passionate of recording songs and delivering music to people and after completing the "Secrets Of Mixing" Course at SAE Institute of Bucharest I acheived the best skills to do that.
I am a Editing, Mixing and Mastering engineer,
I aim to provide excellent communication and pay strict attention to detail, I am very organised and I will do all the best to make sure you get exactly what you want from your music and for your projects.

Interview with Sebastian Morosan

  1. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  2. A: I sing Gospel Music so it's the main thing for me as a singer and also as a Sound Engineer but I also work on Classical, Brass Music, Choral and Country.

  3. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  4. A: I have a small studio with a booth that I use for recording vocals and instrumental and a control room. It has very good acustic treatment and it looks pretty fancy. The sound path I use is: Brauner Microphone - SPL GainStation Preamp - UAD Apollo Twin Interface - DAW - UAD Apollo Twin Interface - Monitors Adam A8X.

  5. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  6. A: I had hundreds of concerts in the last 6 years with the quartet I sing and as a sound engineer I'm at the beggining of the road but I think that having the singer experience is one of the advantages most engineers don't have.

  7. Q: How would you describe your style?

  8. A: I'm a conservative guy, well organised, following principles that I have and I'm always straight to the point.

  9. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  10. A: I think the best enhance I bring is clarity and good level balance in a song and I always tend for a natural sound as much as possible.

  11. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  12. A: Right now I work on my quartet future album. We are in the recording phase and we're so excited for this project and can't wait to bring it alive for people who loves our music.

  13. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  14. A: Most people work for money and have hobbies for pleasure. From my perspective, this job is working for pleasure so it's great, 2 in 1.

  15. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  16. A: I always ask clients what is their perspective about the songs or the projects, how do they imagine the final product because the tastes in music are so different and since I work for somebody I need to know what their tastes are.
