Felipe Pomar on SoundBetter

Felipe Pomar, known as “Banha”, is a talented music creator and founder of the independent Bahian label Subterrâneo Records, established in 2003. He is also co-creator of the “TrapFunk&Alívio” collective, an essential part of Salvador's vibrant music scene.

Throughout his career, Felipe Pomar has signed several notable musical productions. He has collaborated with South African artists; Morena Leraba, Dj Spoko (R.I.P) produced the single “Dia da Caça” and participated in the album “Outras Cidades” by Baiana System. He also produced the single “Já Reparou?” with Leticia Letrux and Adriana Calcanhoto, and the album “MALAKA” by TremeKeila, Keila Gentil's project. His work also includes the singles “Nova Era”, “Coração Cometa” and “Beco do Sossego” by Livia Nery, as well as the album “Pássaro Preto” by Betho Wilson. Felipe contributed to the single “Fall In Love - J Dilla Tribute”, featuring Jill Scott's trumpeter Farnell Newton, and to the single “Prose Unie” with Lunik Grio' and Morena Leraba, recorded at Femi Kuti Sessions Studio.
Among his most recent projects are the EP “BAFRO” by TrapFunk&Alívio and MOMA (Dreamville Records, USA) and the EP “Infinito - Lá Eles”, made available by the Free Music Archive Library and used in synchronization for VIMEO.
Felipe Pomar continues to leave his mark on music, enriching the culture and art of Salvador and beyond through his collaborations and musical innovations.
