High-End Audio Mastering Streaming, Vinyl, CD and Tape formats
Hi, I'm Alberto !
I help finalising artist's visions and ideas behind their project by letting their essence shine through the mastering process.
Consulting mixes before-hand and having complete understanding of the project, is the essential first step to enhance your music to it's best quality possible, with love and much dedication.
I work at the legendary Blackhead Studios Berlin in a perfectly treated mastering environment.
An impressive amount of analogue equipment as well as the most High-End plug-ins and tape are used to make your music shine and competitive for the market.
I previously worked with very talented artists and i'm excited to get to know further more.
I'd like to hear from you !

Endorse Alberto PrettoThis Gent has now mastered 2 of my deep house tracks. All I want to say is its a privaledge to work with him, he's with you every step of the way...The final outcome never disappoints me. Long may it continue... Thank you Alberto
Alberto put new life into tracks that I had forgotten how to love. After listening to your music so many times in the process of finishing an EP, you often forgot the raw energy that you felt while creating them. After receiving my masters, I enjoy listening to our music again!
Alberto mastered my 4 latest Records and he did an amazing Job!
I trust him 100% and looking forward for a long partnership.
If you need a great mastering engineer which is super nice and friendly at the same time
alberto is your man :)Albert did a great and highly professional job at the first Mastering he did for my label.
I have worked with various Mastering Engineers over the years and Albert showed 100% professional knowledge and that extra attention to detail that you need to get that extra 1-3% more out of the sound to make it sound 103% perfect. I decided to make him one of our regular engineers to keep working on the new series for which he mastered the first record and will continue to do so for the following releases over the next years!

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: No i'm new
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Depends on the material. I love analog but when it comes to mixing now days i would prefer digital as it gets so good. After i would run the 2 bus in the analog chain for extra colour and shine.

A: Every day is a different challenge, new music and plenty of inspiration
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: It really depends on the job
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Mastering over mixing. If the mixing isn't quite there the mastering can't do all the work.

A: Clean, Dynamic and warm
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Moby because it's been one of the most inspirational and emotional artist i ever been listening to since i was 10. But there are probably too many other to add on this list. Music is just a pure emotion and there're too many great artist out there

Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Mastering and Mixing

A: I usually like to work Hybrid now days by bringing the best out of the digital and analogue domain depending upon the projects i receive. The music is talking and the rest comes along.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: The studio is fully analogue from compressors to tube Eqs of the very best top mastering quality. Maselec transfer desk, knif Audio tube Eq, Varis tube mastering compressor as well as many others are included in the chain. A Studer 810 maser tape machine does have an important role Genelec 1038 are the main monitors but most importantly the room in room custom designed is having the main role in the mastering suite
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Moby, Aphex Twin, Ricardo Villalobos and many others. The list would be too long
