Sam is a great guy to work with, a very clear communicator. He makes shure he understands what you are looking for in the sound of a track. As a mastering engineer he provides clear feedback on your wishes, while advising on things that you wouldn't think of. This makes you think again about your mix and (very!) patient as he is, he will let you fix all shortcomings before putting out the final master. Thank you Samuel for the great job!

Samuel did incredibly well, after a lot of feedback and help with the mix he delivered a highly professional master that sounds great on all systems. In fact in some ways better than engineers I have hired in the past.
He is also creating a revision of the master with some small tweaks so it suits my artistic vision!

Samuel is incredibly talented, helpful and kind. You could not get a better engineer for this budget, he is amazing!

This will make sure that no one element of the mix is overpowering the others and that every element is heard and contribute to the final sound. Additionally, as you make adjustments to individual tracks, always listen to the mix in context, as this will help you to make more informed decisions about which elements need to be adjusted.

  18. A: As a mixing and mastering engineer, my typical work process involves several key steps to ensure that the final product meets the artist's expectations. Initial consultation: I start by speaking with the artist to understand their goals for the project, their vision, and any specific requirements they have for the final product. Mixdown evaluation report - When mastering, upon receiving your premaster, I will review and analyze it to identify any areas that may benefit from further adjustments or improvements. If needed, I will provide suggestions on how to enhance your mix, resulting in a superior mastering outcome. My goal is to ensure that your final product meets your artistic vision and exceeds your expectations. I pay close attention to the overall balance and tonal characteristics of the tracks, making adjustments as needed to achieve the desired sound. I use a variety of effects and processing techniques to enhance the overall sound and bring out the best in each individual track. Mastering: I use various techniques to optimize the overall sound of the project, ensuring that it is ready for release. I make sure that the tracks are loud enough and have a good dynamic range and that the overall balance is consistent between tracks. Unlimited revisions - My ultimate goal is to achieve the master that you desire. I understand that the process of mixing and mastering may require multiple revisions to get the desired outcome. I am committed to working with you until you are fully satisfied with the final product, no matter how many revisions are needed.
