Scot Moriarty on SoundBetter

Professional work, hundreds of credits, and countless happy clients. The work is done out of Pro Tools HD through my Dangerous ST monitoring system with access to ample plugins, and great outboard gear.

I work well with artists. I truly try and understand what you want, and I do my best to execute that. I don't enjoy dealing in BS.

Most of my work lies within the world of rock/heavy music, but I'm quite comfortable in many genres.

Besides music, I've worked with audio books and other recorded dialogue for many years. If you've got a podcast, a book, or any other type of spoken dialogue then I can help with that.

Would love to hear from you. Click the contact button above to get in touch.

Scot has been so awesome to work with, he’s very reliable and patient. He’s very passionate and knowledgeable about what he does and really cares about making sure that his clients are getting the sound they want just right. I will definitely be working on music with him again in the future, I HIGHLY recommend working with Scot!!

Interview with Scot Moriarty

  1. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  2. A: I would say getting to the end result. When it's all said and done, and the client is super happy...well, that makes me feel very grateful. I also really enjoy the process of getting there, but the final product is what puts the icing on the cake.

  3. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  4. A: Most of my clients would say that I bring vast quantities of seltzer and carrots, but aside from that...mixing and mastering. I also do quite a bit of recording in the studio, and dialogue editing for audiobooks and podcasts.

  5. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  6. A: I've always been a HUGE fan of Andy Wallace. His mixing has always pushed me to try and execute what sounds best for the artist while still striving for a professional quality.
