  4. A: My dream would to to co-write and co-release a song with NOTD.

  5. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  6. A: Always be true to your self and your sound

  7. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  8. A: EDM, dance and pop music, but I've also worked a lot on acoustic/singer-songwriter pieces.

  9. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  10. A: My home studio setup comprises of a Universal Audio Apollo Twin X interface and a the Slate Digital Modelling Microphone, the ML1.

  11. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  12. A: I am super inspired by lots of music, but lately my favourites are Astrid S, Tove Lo, LANY and Clara Mae.

  13. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  14. A: One of projects I worked on that I'm most proud of is toplining and recording vocals for Swedish artist Hogland. We wrote and released a song together called 'Over You' and the creative process was awesome. After he sent me his idea, I just immediately understood the kind of vocal and topline that would suit the awesome production perfectly, and really lift and accentuate all the details of the track. It's out now and has over 13 million streams on Spotify! Here it is if you fancy listening :) https://open.spotify.com/track/1C4lh1SdXGpBE3FgiCKD3N

  15. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  16. A: At the moment I'm working on helping a client finish the lyrics for his song, which is a chilled-pop genre. Then I'll be recording a Billie-Eilish inspired vocal for the song!

  17. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  18. A: Can't choose! Both are brilliant for different reasons.

  19. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  20. A: My promise to all of my clients is that I'll always give a song, whether recording vocals or toplining my absolute all, and will always really take time to listen to my clients and their needs.

  21. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  22. A: The thing I most like is connecting with people, and being given the opportunity to take a peek inside their world and help them create something amazing.

  23. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  24. A: 1. I have a part-written song, can you help me finish it? Yes! I have a bespoke rate for helping you co-write lyrics and/or melody, which is cheaper than my rates for toplining an entire song.

  25. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  26. A: I ask them about their vision for their project, any inspiration or themes they have, and get started from there!

  27. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  28. A: To all of my clients I'd say don't be afraid to tell me exactly what you'd like, or if you're not overly experienced with hiring vocalists/topliners, we can always have a chat on the phone and you can explain to me your vision. I love nothing more than connecting and working with like minded people, and creating something truly amazing together.

  29. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  30. A: Ouch. A good inspiring book, my piano, ,my guitar, something to record myself, and some pistachio nuts (gotta keep going right?) ;)

  31. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  32. A: I've been singing and writing songs ever since I can remember! But I've been recording vocals for producers and writers for around 10 years, I've been toplining for about 7 years, and I started to put my own music out around 6 years ago.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: My strongest skill is being able to interpret the emotion and energy/drive of a song and translate that into the vocal and toplining.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: Toplining (Melody + Lyrics) - I have a lot of experience in capturing the essence of a song/production and really bringing it to life with a catchy melody and authentic unique lyrics, to make sure your song stands out in the way it deserves to. Vocals - My vocal range is extremely wide (C2-C5) and I'm a very experienced vocalist able to sing in most styles, although I do specialise in EDM and Pop. My vocal tone offers a unique edge to really add flair to your track.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: Writing the topline - Firstly, I ask my clients whether they have any reference tracks or certain themes for the song. Once we've developed a theme/idea together, I'll then bounce around melody and lyrical ideas until the client is 100% happy. Recording Vocals - Once the topline has been developed, I'll then record the lead vocals, double tracks, backing vocals, harmonies and ad libs for the clients' song. If the client already have strong ideas of harmonies/BVs/Ad Libs I will record these, otherwise I can create them for the client. Once the vocals have been fully recorded, I will send over the dry stems for review. At this stage, the client has up to two revisions, and I also offer the option of melodyning the vocals for $50. I usually turn around a project within 3-7 days depending on the size of the project, and other projects lined up.

  39. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  40. A: The most common type of working I do for my clients is record vocals and topline for EDM producers.
