Brian iele includes a FREE audio quality report on the mastering service that really helps you to get the most out of your mixes before mastering. Send us one unmastered mix and you will get a complete audio quality report in 48 hours.

We have found that most of the problems presented by a less than perfect mix can´t be fixed in mastering, so we invest almost as much time to review the audio quality of the mixes as to the mastering process itself. A Mix review process renders overwhelmingly superior quality mixes before even initiating the mastering stage.
Studio gear is important, but experience and good judgement, as well as full involvement in every project are also key offerings. We are committed to be 100% responsive to your needs.

- Audio Mastering for every format, in stereo and surround 5.1: Vinyl, CD, DVD, Blu-Ray, iTunes (MFiT)
- Mix Coaching (can also be hired separately from our mastering services)

As a producer looking for specific balance in my more detailed work, working with Brian is brilliant. Each time we work together, Brian quickly understands my vision for each track which comes from his upfront discussions with me and his excellent attention to detail. I really appreciate that Brian doesn't rush work, I completely trust him to take the time he needs to get my work done and it always comes back high quality.

Always a perfect experience working with Brian ––this time was no different. I'll definitely be back again

  15. Review by Christopher Kenji

I just finished my fourth project with Brian to date and I plan on continuing coming back and getting my songs mastered by him for all of my upcoming projects as well. He really cares and goes above and beyond to get the perfect product for you. He's super talented, has an amazing ear and is super punctual and professional. Also, one of the things that makes him so unique is the mix feedback he gives you to tweak before he masters ––I haven't seen others offer this but it's a huge game changer!

  16. Review by Brian B.

Brian has done so much more than just mastering my song. He really listened to the song and my wishes. I am very happy with the end result!

  17. Review by Bassel E.

Amazing work and communication. Really happy with the result! Thanks.

  18. Review by Marcelina Permatasari

Really easy to work with, very patient, amazing work!

  19. Review by John G.

    Extremely Happy Customer

The reason I will continue to work with Brian is twofold. First he did the best job mastering my music but just as important he took the time to review/critique the song and suggest what he felt should be changed before he worked on the song.
I had 3 different engineers master the same song and Brian was the only one who did this. I would have expected it from anyone who Masters/Mixes for a living but it was not the case. This is why his final master sounds the best o

  20. Review by Alejandra

Mastering went super well, he is a professional. And listen to what you have to say. Will work with him again.
La masterizacion fue de lo mejor, es un profesional, escucha lo que tienes que decir y definitivamente trabajaria con el de nuevo.

Interview with Brian iele (SCS Mastering)

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: Shoot the radio, "Opera Galaxy", was a good project and has won the Gardel Award in Argentina. I'm proud of that one. But i already did a couple of albums after that, that i like a lot too.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Many projects every week from different parts of the world. Thrilling and inspiring

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Not yet. Maybe we should get together more often.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Anything that sounds "right" for the song. Both most of the times. Normally i take the time to compare different options

  9. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  10. A: The fact that it doesn't feel like working. Really.

  11. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  12. A: That miracles are included with the job. :)

  13. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  14. A: For mastering clients we ask for mixes audition before 100% completion so we can suggest technical changes that could help the final process.

  15. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  16. A: Be sure to give the engineer all the input you can about your proyect and expectations. I think that is the best way to get the results you are seeking.

  17. Q: How would you describe your style?

  18. A: Hi fi but with a touch of dirtiness when it's needed.

  19. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  20. A: Authentic, real people.

  21. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  22. A: Rock, Indie, Pop, Jazz, Electronic, EDM,

  23. Q: What's your typical work process?

  24. A: No "Typical" process, every song is a different word and needs possibly an unique approach.

  25. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  26. A: My monitoring system. A console. My ears. A chair. A bottle of wine.

  27. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  28. A: judgement to understand what it needs.

  29. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  30. A: Judgement when mastering. When mixing, I prefer my Job to speak for itself.

  31. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  32. A: Hibryd Studio. Digital and Analog. Highly focused on quality equipment.

  33. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  34. A: When they are satisfied i'd try to make it even better.

  35. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  36. A: Can I be present at the mastering session? Yes sure you can.

  37. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  38. A: Mixing & Mastering

  39. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  40. A: Coffee Boy, Assitant, Technician, Recording Engineer, Mixing Engineer, Masterin Engineer. All started long ago. Like almost 20 years ago.

  41. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  42. A: Don't overthink it.

  43. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  44. A: Many, in different ways. What inspires me the most, is authenticity.
