Remote session drummer using V-Drums and sampling software for a HUGE catalog of classic drums from the 50's all the way up to modern kits, combined with my versatility to give you a highly customize-able performance! Digital drum sounds also available as standalone kits, or to combine with classic acoustic kits for a unique modern sound!
Send your Mp3 samples my way (these can be either with or without drum tracks), and include the BPMs and any special instructions you may have; be as detailed as you want, or give me free rein! If you have a song in mind you’d like to reference for drum ideas or sounds, feel free to do so! Your tracks are recorded using a Roland TD-15 V-Drum Kit combined with Steven Slate Drums, Toontrack's Superior Drummer 3, and Native Instrument’s various Abbey Road Drums software. All of this software provides top-quality drums sampled from the world's best drum kits; this gives me an enormous catalog of drum sounds to choose from, and combined with my versatility as a drummer, gives you a highly customize-able performance. I’ll then send you a rough stereo mix of your song with my drums added for review. Once you’re totally satisfied, I’ll send you the isolated drum tracks as WAV files.
I’ll work with you every step of the way until you’re completely satisfied with your tracks.
All styles are welcome, but I specialize in rock / metal drumming in the vein of Bonham, Peart, Grohl, Lombardo, et al.
I've been a drummer on the L.A. scene for the last 15 years, and have only recently ventured into the realm of remote drumming. I left my 9 to 5 to follow my dreams and pursue music full time because there's nothing I love more than creating with other artists. I can't wait to work with you!
Would love to hear from you. Click the contact button above to get in touch.

Interview with JoBot Drums
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to work my ass off until you're totally satisfied with the finished product. I will never fall back on 'good enough'.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love the collaborative process of creating music; the bouncing of ideas, the growth and expansion that comes from being in someone else's perspective, and the joy that comes from knowing that something I helped create will bring happiness to others.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a modest set-up comprised of my V-Drums, my PC and a few monitors. Since everything is digital, sound-proofing isn't an issue, and I don't need too much gear to get the job done (my bank account especially loves that part)
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: HUGELY inspired and influenced by The Beatles for not just their musicianship and unfathomable effect on music in general, but for their uncanny ability to reinvent themselves on every album, and experiment without ever sacrificing the integrity of the song. Also a gigantic fan of Prince and the seemingly endless amount of work he's produced across a vast range of musical styles and genres (most of which is usually all produced, arranged, composed and performed by the man himself). As for drummers specifically, of course I'd be remiss not to mention good ol' lead foot himself John Bonham, as well as his disciple Dave Grohl. There's also Neil Peart, with his gigantic drum set-up that could house a small family, Phil (no-fills) Rudd, Mitch Mitchell, Keith Moon, Ringo Starr, Dave Lombardo, Bernard Purdie, and the list stretches on into oblivion....
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Drums, drums and additional drums! I'll do the occasional live gig or tour, but I'm mostly a remote session drummer. Send me your tunes and I'll hop into my home studio and hammer out the best damn performance I can to help realize your vision! My priority is always the song, never about showing off my chops. (Skills, not pork chops)
