I studied Music Production in Manchester, UK, where I developed my skills as a sound designer and audio restoration engineer.
I can offer a number of services in this field including sound design, foley effects, audio restoration, podcast editing, audio editing, game audio and dialogue editing.
I am proficient in a number of DAWs as well as implementing interactive audio into game engines such as Unity.
In my free time I enjoy playing video games, playing and watching sports, music, TV and films as well as dabbling in the acoustic guitar and making my own self produced hip hop music.
As a former journalist, I am skilled in networking, communication and working to strict deadlines and bring these same skills to my career as a sound designer.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I performed on a hip hop record with another rapper and one of my UK hip hop heroes, Farma Beats, who produced the beat. When I started out I could never have imagined being on one of his beats and I am proud to say I now have. It was also the first time I had worked on a collaborative record having usually focused on solo work.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am writing an EP and balancing this alongside my day to day work in audio design and repair.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital for work but always vinyl for listening to music.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I am friendly and approachable and always happy to answer questions. I will treat your project as my own and strive to provide a high quality service at a reasonable price.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The creative outlet and always being able to try new things.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Give as much information as possible in explaining your vision for your project and never be afraid to ask questions during the process.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Macbook Pro, Akai MPK Mini, Nuemann U87, Scarlett Audio Interface, Roland TR-808
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Musically I would like to work with Dr Dre as his was the first hip hop album I ever listened to. From a sound design perspective I would like to work on a big budget sci-fi or horror film where you can really get creative and push boundaries.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Never stop learning.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Musically I tend to work mainly on hip hop where I produce and mix my own beats.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I am dedicated to bringing the best service possible to my clients and will treat the project with the same care and attention that I would give my own work.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I always like to get a feel for the project first and will always listen through whatever I'm working on a couple of times first. I will then work through with a methodical approach to identify and repair issues before working to bring the project to life.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I operate from an expanding home studio where I work predominately in the digital domain. Recording and processing everyday objects into unique sounds for clients as well as using industry standard techniques to repair and edit audio.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: From a sound design perspective it has to be Ben Burtt who has worked on a number of films including Star Wars, where he famously developed the lightsaber sound, as well as WALL-E. The sounds of game studios such as Naughty Dog and Rockstar have also greatly inspired me. Musically, I am a big hip hop fan and have always been influenced by DJ Premier.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I commonly work in different fields but the most regular work I do includes repairing damaged audio, recording and processing foley and sound effects as well as editing podcasts.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I began my working life as a journalist where I worked as a crime reporter on a number of regional papers as well as writing sports match reports for some national publications. After my paper was forced to close I decided to retrain and follow my dream to work in music. While studying I developed a strong interest in sound design and have been developing my skills in this field ever since.
