Reviews of Jeff Kanan

Jeff is a true pro. After working with a wide range of very good studios for mixing, I found Jeff's mix to be the most impressive. His mixes sound smooth and refined while also sounding real and honest. I highly recommend Jeff for any mixes you want to shine.

Jeff KNOWS sound. After working with top international artists he's aware of the trends sonically. He's not just mixing your song when you hire him. He's giving it a chance to truly stand out as the best it can be. Hire this man!

I've had the pleasure of working with Jeff on many different projects that range from virtually every genre of music. He always deals with what is best for the recording and the session and doesn't have stock chains of equipment. I remember times when I had to write parts in the studio and he was always right there listening to everything I did while giving supportive/positive feedback.

Not only do I do my band's (Creature Canopy) studio work with Jeff; I take my larger budget film mixes in to him to work with and get another ear. He has so much, broad-strokes industry experience, there's no one else I would work with. Especially since each studio session is incredibly fun, and he is super enjoyable to work with.

Any time we (Chemistry Club) need to do any mixing, Jeff is the first person we think of. He's become a good friend through our working with him, and someone we can really trust to make our stuff sound great! He's very receptive to our style and our input, as well.

Jeff has been the engineer on all the projects for my band The Host Club. And without fail, every time I think I've seen his best work, he out does himself on the next. His years of experience engineering some of the biggest songs of the 90's and early 2000's, really shows itself in all his work. He works at the highest level in the industry. I cannot recommend Jeff enough.

Jeff is a fantastic mix engineer who never fails to deliver anything but the highest quality results. He has been mixing my trailer music tracks for the last three years and it's always a highlight of the album-making process!

Jeff has been a great asset on the numerous trailer music and film scores I've composed. Recently he mixed my score to the documentary feature film "Matthews" and he did just an amazing job. The finished orchestral score sounded full, warm and lush thanks to Jeff's talents and abilities. Looking forward to continued collaborations with Jeff.

I've had the pleasure of working with Jeff on a couple of projects as well as sending him students and friends of mine. Every project he touches turns out amazing. One of my favorite projects with Jeff was working on my solo EP. His experience and vision helped me create an environment that took some ideas into great songs. He's one of the beat around for sure!

Jeff engineered and mixed my newest release, Dear Fall, that went to #2 on iTunes for Singer/Songwriter. He was fast paced and professional engineer and his studio was a perfect creative space. I was more than happy with all the work Jeff contributed to my music, not to mention he is the kindest soul to have in your life. I highly recommend working with Jeff!

I've been working with Jeff for about 14 years and when he left LA to return to Denver I had to follow him cos he's that good!!! I fly from LA to Denver 5 or 6 times a year to mix new projects and trailer libraries with him and it's ALWAYS worth it!!

Jeff mixed our album just how we wanted it, big and full and fat and modern sounding. He's quick and he has a great ear and knows what sounds good. I recommend Jeff for all his abilities as producer, engineer and mixer, he's a bad ass mofo!!

I ve known Mr Jeff Kanan for years now. I spent several hours in studio with Jeff in pre/production and production and mixing and I have to say its been always a great fun work environment. Coming from Italy I never had the opportunity to work in such great studios like Los Angles has to offer. Jeff has a great hear and a great taste in music. He is the man :)

Jeff has been mixing and co-producing my (The Host Club's) projects for years now. Since we began working together he has taken our sound far further than I could ever have taken it alone. His years of experience and insight make him an invaluable asset to the creative process. I always come out with a product that is perfectly polished.
