Jack Byrne is a Record Producer and Musician based in West Yorkshire, working predominantly to make disgustingly noisy records with alt-rock artists.
Jack has spent the last 8 years in Leeds building a reputation for fantastic service, powerful mixes, and an approach to tracking centred around capturing the energy and feel of a band playing off each other in one room. A performer himself as frontman of the alt-rock 4 piece FURR, Jack has a thorough understanding of what it feels like to be on both sides of the glass, which gives him the insight required to get the best performances possible from his clients.
A firm believer in the fact that songs should sound like the record before you hit record, Jack uses all the tools at his disposal at Bunker Studios to achieve vibrant, rich tones while he is tracking instead of fixing it in the mix. A haven of vintage and modern equipment situated in the heart of West Yorkshire, Bunker Studios is a relaxing, comfortable recording studio built around a 1982 MCI JH-636 mixing desk that previously belonged to Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees.
Jack doesn't make clean records. Hiss Happens.
