Hello, my name is Justin Johnson. My DJ name is 'Vantom'. I make little EP's on soundcloud here and there. But I would love to start making a career out of it, and make better use of my talents.
I would offer smashing Intros, EDM drops, EDM demos, or even EDM full tracks. I specialize in Electro-House, Dubstep, Hyrbrid Trap, and Progressive-House type music.
Send me a note through the contact button above.
Interview with Vantom
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My laptop, my hard drive, headphones, speakers, and (If I had one) a DJ mixer.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Also not professionally, I've been making music for nearly a decade, since 2010.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: It's hard, because I make multiple genres of sound, but most of it is Electro-House.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: If I wanted to work with any artist it would be Virtual Riot of coarse, awesome artist!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Let your creativity bound you to NO limits.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Electronic mostly, I can do pop or orchestrial as well.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Creating a catchy loop. Good for intros or background music.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I never really brought much vocals to a song, but I bring the beats, the harmony, and well...pretty much anything that isn't vocal.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Usually the project's start, is never how the project finishes. Most of my tracks end up sounding completely different from when I started it.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Nothing much at all, just me and my laptop. They may not sound like much, but the tracks I make are pretty dope!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Defineltly artists like Rogue, Teminite, Modstep, Zomboy.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Ghost producing for now, I'm not familiar with DJ equipment just yet, but I want to be someday.
