Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: My promise to clients is clear: to ensure they receive the final master exactly as they envisioned it. My utmost priority is to preserve the integrity of the original mix and enhance it through the mastering process. I commit to working closely with each client, attentively listening to their visions and desires. I offer free revisions because I want to ensure I fully understand my clients' expectations and cater to their needs impeccably. Client satisfaction is my top priority, and I will go above and beyond to exceed their expectations and deliver a finished product they're completely satisfied with.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: The world of mastering has always fascinated me. I really enjoy delving into mixes, analyzing them and understanding how to improve them during the mastering process. There's something incredibly rewarding about the meticulous work it takes to bring out the best in a mix and elevate it to its maximum potential through mastering. The greatest satisfaction comes when I'm able to master a project while fully immersing myself in the client's vision.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: The biggest misconception about what I do is that mastering can transform a poor mix into a great mix. In reality, mastering can only enhance a mix that is already well-balanced and well-executed. Starting with a good mix is crucial for achieving a high-quality master.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: My typical work process begins with listening to the mix. This initial step allows me to identify any issues or areas that may need attention. If I believe it's necessary or beneficial to address certain issues during the mixing stage, I communicate directly with the mixing engineer. Once I'm satisfied with the mix, I proceed with mastering. Typically, this involves a combination of digital and analog processing. After completing the mastering process, I refrain from listening to the song for at least a day. Upon returning, I conduct playback tests on various devices. If everything sounds on point, I deliver the master to the client; otherwise, I proceed to make adjustments until all aspects meet my desired standards.

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: Both! Integrating both analog and digital tools can yield exceptional results in mastering. Analog equipment often imparts warmth, character, and depth to the sound, while digital tools offer precision, flexibility, and efficiency. By leveraging the best of both worlds, we can achieve a balanced and nuanced sound that enhances the overall quality of the music.

A: My primary focus is mastering. I specialize in enhancing the sonic quality of my clients' music, ensuring it achieves maximum clarity, balance, and impact. Whether it's a single track, an EP, or a full album, I meticulously refine each project to meet the unique artistic vision of my clients. With a keen ear for detail and a commitment to excellence, I strive to deliver results that exceed expectations and elevate the overall listening experience.
