Interview with Eamonn Foley

  1. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  2. A: I'm a man of my word and I will work hard to achieve your vision.

  3. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  4. A: I love to see and hear the effect that a songwriter/singer has on the music I produce.

  5. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  6. A: How many revisions do you offer? I offer as many as possible within reason. Can you mix/master the vocals with the beat? I can do that but I'm not an engineer so I'm far from an expert in the field.

  7. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  8. A: R&B/Hip-Hop compositions or beats are a dime a dozen and a single track can be produced in an hour or less.

  9. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  10. A: I'm a man of my word and would advise anyone to communicate as much as possible to get the most out of the project.

  11. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  12. A: Despite over a decade's worth of experience working with a variety of different artists I feel like I'm still taking the first steps on this career path.

  13. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  14. A: There is no one artist in particular. I like to work with those who enjoy and are passionate about the creative process.

  15. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  16. A: Working too strictly within the confines of a genre or style may hold the music back from being something truly special. Let the music breathe and don't be afraid to push the envelope.

  17. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  18. A: R&B and Hip-Hop.

  19. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  20. A: Stanley Clarke. Ryan Leslie. Dennis Chambers. Kanye West. Chucky Thompson. J Dilla. Calvin Rodgers. No I.D.

  21. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  22. A: Producing original music that compliments their vision and abilities.
