Finding objectivity in a subjective realm
I am a Producer, Mix Engineer, Sound editor/designer(film), Beat Maker, Piano/Guitar player and Singer from Dublin, Ireland.
I now reside in Barcelona, Spain, where I have worked my way up from trainee to producer and I now co-run a studio here, in the heart of the city.
Classically trained on guitar and piano from the age of five, and member of a musical family, I have been immersed in music my whole life. I have an agile ear for melody, harmony and I can play music by ear and sight-read. I have enjoyed playing in bands from a young age, but I have found true fulfilment through music production, with the total creative control and freedom granted through the processes of recording, arranging, composing, orchestrating and mixing.
My taste is virtually non-exclusive and I appreciate genres from Hip hop to folk/country to classical, and I'm experienced programming and recording said styles and more.
For programming, I use the MPC 3000 as the "heart" beneath a variety of synths on which I can program/sample beats, from mainstream to obscure and experimental.
For recording gear specifics, read the 'Gear highlights' section below.
But of course; it's not the gear, but the ear ;)
As Duke Ellington put it,
"There are two kinds of music. Good music, and the other kind."
Listen and see if you trust me. Let's make music :)
