Patience and flexibility is key when working with artists, and I do my best to achieve the vision of each and every song I'm working on. I'll take my time on your project, listen to every detail of your vision, and tweak your song(s) until you are happy!

Matt is an INCREDIBLE producer and musician. I recorded a song in his cozy home studio, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results. Not only did he expertly play guitar and bass on the track, but he also elevated it to a whole new level with his production. He made me feel extremely comfortable, and is genuinely a very sweet and welcoming person. Can't wait to come back!
Got a chance to track some vocals and do some production with Matt on a hired gig. He's a solid producer , engineer and guitar player. My was able to capture my vocals really well and he wrote some awesome guitar parts. I was really pleased with the final result of our song -

I loved collaborating with Matt on our song "Rise Up". He came up with a baseline and beat that inspired the song and we took it from there. He helped take me out of my comfort zone and write in a completely different style. My friend and fans loved this song when it came out! If you're looking to create some songs with energy and great production that still has soul (doesn't sound so clean that it's robotic), I highly recommend working with Matt! I've known and worked with Matt on many tracks over the last few years. He's got a great sense of how to build a song, with major abilities as a player/writer, and as an engineer/producer. I have no doubt Matt will be getting more and more recognition as the years unfold.
I am a singer-songwriter and worked with Matt to produce a music catalogue in 2019. It was such an amazing and magical process because of Matt's creativity and versatility as a producer and guitarist! I felt very comfortable sharing my ideas and he inspired me to write and sing in ways I had never thought of before. He is skilled in Ableton and knew exactly how to record my vocals (and uses good quality equipment too). I am very proud of what we created and would highly recommend working with Matt on your next project!

Interview with Matthew Insco -
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Finishing a production and mix for my client Nita. Finishing a mix for my client W.B. Wright. Writing and recording guitars for my new original songs.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both are amazing.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will make sure you are satisfied with your song, whatever it takes.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The creative process of writing, producing and recording. It always great to meet new inspired artists who are passionate about what they do.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: What do you charge to produce a song? It can range from $850 to $1400.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I have a strong music background having gone to music school. I am a producer who uses a lot of real instruments and organic sounding samples, as well as digital sounds wherever needed. I not just a guy who makes beats. I put an emphasis on songwriting and creating custom productions for each artist I work with.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Have you worked with a producer before? If so, how have your past experienced been with producers? Do you have any references for the song you'd like me to work on?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Always listen to a producer's work before discussing working with them.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My acoustic guitar, laptop, interface, microphone, and heaphones.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I'd love to work with Kehlani, Tom Mish, Dua Lipa, Billy Eilish, Jorja Smith, Brandon Boyd and Cedric Bixler-Zavala.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I got to work with grammy winning Producer Daryl Swann (Macy Gray) after meeting him in person. He did additional production and mixed my song, 'Pink Sunshine'. It was a lot of fun to work with him, he understood my style and flowed with it well. I was the producer, recording engineer and guitarist and bassist on that song.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I studied music and guitar in college , and took some music production classes at Columbia College Chicago as well as classes at Garnish Music London and Los Angeles. I've been working as a music producer for 6 years, and producing 12 years total before working as a producer. I've been a performing musician for 20 years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Other-worldly, unique, and multidimensional. Sometimes guitar driven.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Develop you ear for choosing high quality drum samples. Also, take some time to learn basic recording techniques for your vocals or instrument. The production process flows very smoothy when tracks are recording properly, and when great sounding samples fit together well, before the mix.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, Soul/R&B, Singer-Songwriter, Rock, Experimental
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Creating unique, inspiring arrangements in a production. I enjoy and do very well at layering guitar parts with electric or acoustic guitars and bass guitar.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Originality, always something fresh and inspiring. A strong sense of songwriting and musicality.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: It depends on the project. If somebody hires me to produce a song they've already written, they will send me a scratch track and I will build the production of a song around that scratch track. I've also created entire instrumental productions first, and then the artist will write and record a part on top of that track.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a comfy , professional studio set up in a room in my house. Macbook Pro, Universal Audio Twin Interface, Neumann TLM 103 microphone, Shure SMB7 microphone, Adams TV7 speakers, Martin Dreadnought Guitar, D'Angelico Semi Hollow Electric Guitar, Fender American Jazz Bass, and Yamaha Nylon String Guitar.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Tom Misch has been one of my favorite musician in recent years, as well as Thundercat and Hiatus Kaiyote.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Full Production of singles and albums. Working with vocalists in person and remotely. Guitar, Bass, Keyboard and Synthesizer Recording. Songwriting and Co-writing.
I was the Producer, Guitarist. Bassist and Co-writer in this production
