I am forever grateful to have worked with 40th Street Studios. Revised two songs in a timely fashion and was completely impressed with the amount of precision delivered upon my requests. Any adjustments made to my song brought the track to another level! Andrew is completely accommodating! Looking forward to working on more projects again!!

40th Street Studios provides a very good service and is very understanding to the artist!!!!They are very easy to express what you want to add to your music and are able to give good advice and knowledge on what needs to be done to improve your songs entirely. Highly recommended
Andrew is a fire producer and engineer. All the music I make in this studio always comes out heat. Andrew will even give you suggestions to help you improve what you’re doing, so he obviously cares about how your track sounds. Great recording studio and a great price! + The manhattan view is unbeatable.
Bro Andrew is a GOD! We made a couple tracks like DND and WASTE TIME and omg he made them so fire. He produced a couple beats for me while I was in the stu, and then we laid out some vocals and BOOM, it was heat. His production quality is so good and then after we recorded, he mixed them for free! He always knows the vibe and he always understands what I mean. I love working with him and I never use any other studio services. Trust me this man has got the sauce and you wont regret working with him! aye aye aye!
I worked with Andrew, the engineer of 40th street studios multiple times since the summer of 2019. I can say first and foremost that he has a welcoming energy, and always made me and guests feel comfortable. I make hip hop music and he was an expert in that regard. He helped me flush out my ideas to places I didn't even know they could go! He produced a great track for me and then we recorded it in under an hour! He knew exactly what I meant whenever I had a request or a suggestion, and always explained what he was doing and why. He then mixed in for me right there while including it in price!
Interview with Andrew Aboy
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: If I could't get the sound I was looking for with digital then I'd use analog, but fortunately I can (:
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That I will take the mix to where I feel it needs to go in order for the emotion to come through
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Find someone who's taste matches your own. It's very helpful when we hear music the same way.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Starting as an EDM producer and DJ, I quickly transitioned into rap and pop because I fell in love with vocals. My journey so far has taken 9 years
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: usually drums and vocals are a constant haha
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Identifying the emotion of the song and envisioning how to get there
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My taste is very wide yet rooted in hard hitting 808's and drums along with crystal clear vocals and melodies.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I got a Neumann U87 plugged into a Universal Audio Apollo Twin X. I like to use the neve preamp emulator.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Serban Ghenea, Manny Marroquin, and Jaycen Joshua are all mix engineers who I greatly admire and look up to
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: When a rough mix comes in I ask myself what is the song trying to tell me, make me feel, and through mixing I will do whatever necessary for that feeling to come through
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: being able to help people and their art
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: MACBOOK U87 APOLLO TWIN X BEYERDYNAMIC DT770
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I like really punchy and gritty elements in music, just as much as very smooth and airy stuff. I really like that contrast because I think it brings a lot of flavor to music. I like to make sure whatever I do, theres energy to it, whether it makes you wanna dance or cry.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Travis Scott someday, I feel like we can make something the world has never seen before.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
