Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Ambient, organic, and pretty much whatever serves the song the best.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I started working in Christian music and have a lot of experience in that genre, but I work on pop, folk, indie, rock, and pretty much any genre.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I have a great appreciation for all types of music and really love to tie in my tastes and love for creating in a session. I love big atmospheric production and space...
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I meet with an artist and discuss the overall vision for what they want. Create a mood board, talk aesthetics of a record, and go over all pre-production. From there, we start recording and I will continue to work on production. I also like to mix as I go along so that the artist can get a general frame of what the song will sound like towards the end of the process.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a studio in Nashville and a mobile rig. I split time between Nashville and Los Angeles a lot so having an option to travel with is huge. It is a basic setup that has everything you need to create. I have a Universal Audio Apollo Twin, a couple microphones, lots of software synths, and a couple guitars.
